Gillian’s arrival introduced Roxanne to the role of the oldest child. While Gillian wears her WashU soccer gear loud and proud, Roxanne and her did both play soccer - even getting to play on the same team in high school for two years. Gillian’s love for disco, rollerblading, and belief that she can sew anything even with her limited experience is infectious and has those around her dancing and believing they too can sew anything (Roxanne still has a pair of pants she has yet to start)

Veronica solidified Roxanne as an oldest child, officially made Gillian the middle child, and crowned herself as the youngest. Though separated in age, Veronica and Roxanne have managed to stay fairly geographically close from both going to college in Chicago and then starting their adult lives in Dallas (+ being roommates for 9 months as a bonus). With one of the greatest collections of memes ready at a moments notice, Veronica’s quick wit is unmatched.

Unknown to Megan, her first day of work was the day Roxanne put in her two-weeks and Megan was about to learn the entire job in that time. Luckily, she didn’t hate Roxanne too much for ditching the company and the two quickly became friends over mutual hatred for general contractors and mutual love for queso and happy hours. Weekly sand volleyball games (RIP Sandbar), trivia, HSMTMTS watch parties, and pool days keep these two attached at the hip.

While Ana and Roxanne roamed the halls of La Reina High School and Taco Bell drive-thrus together in their youth, their friendship truly blossomed when they both went far from California for college. Whether it be late nights out in the streets of Baltimore or catching up on work trips to Kentucky, Ana and Roxanne have continued to stay in each others lives and built a friendship for years to come. Fun fact - Roxanne will be in Ana’s Wedding come September!

Nic and Derek met freshman year of college when Nic was visiting the University of Arkansas for a football game. Without even meeting, Derek bought the season athletics pass so Nic could use his ID to get into the game (they didn’t look alike then either). Once Nic transferred to Arkansas, Derek and Nic hung out all the time and lived together Senior Year. Even after school, Nic was visiting Northwest Arkansas several times a year and has permanent dibs on crashing on Derek’s Couch.

Nic and Paul met freshman year at Alabama during the first week of classes in the dorm hallway when they were wearing the same shirt. “Wow, cool shirt dude!” and “Thanks, you too!” was all it took to start a long-term friendship. Nic and Paul were roommates at Alabama Sophomore Year and drank way too many Hawaiian Punches. After college, Nic’s job took him to Houston monthly once Paul was living there (Shoutout Frat Boy Thursdays at the Railyard) and they still meet up regularly.

Nic and Shane met freshman year at Alabama when they lived on the same floor at Lakeside West. Nic and Shane bonded over Brinner, TV Shows, and NHL. They even played a 7-game playoff series with full length periods, only to never play the pivital Game 7. These days, Nic and Shane mostly communicate in dumb memes and even dumber tik toks, while having only texted each other twice in the year 2023. On the rare chance Nic is around to play Chel, he is constantly disappointing Shane.

Nic first met Ryan when he transferred to Arkansas and saw someone in the Chemical Engineering Lounge wearing Detroit Tigers gear. Nic was dismayed to see the next day that Ryan was wearing a Michigan hat, but this has provided years of jokes and ridicule at Ryan’s expense. Ryan finally moved to Dallas after some years in KC and became a cornerstone of Nic and Roxanne’s beach volleyball team, when he wasn’t on Injured Reserve (RIP Sandbar).

Nic and Alex met at a training class when they both started working at FM Global in 2014. Nic knew they’d be great friends when they got their first adult-job bonus and they immediately spent the money on third row seats to a Bruins game the next week. Since then, Nic and Alex have regularly gone on Boys trips to stadiums across the country. Alex also lives Nic’s training center for work, so Nic regularly visits Alex on FM Global’s dime. Alex is a noted lover of Pedicabs, Shotskis, and Hot Dogs at the Cotton Bowl.
