FAQs
Can I bring a date or plus one?
Unless otherwise stated on your formal invitation, we unfortunately are unable to accommodate additional guests or plus ones at this time. We want to have this day to celebrate with our closest friends and family, allowing us to spend time with the ones we love most. Thank you for understanding!
Can I bring my kids?
Although we love your children, we would appreciate that you have a babysitter on the schedule. We have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event due to restricted numbers and for the safety of your little ones (there are lots of great hiding places on the property and an active creek at our venue). We hope you understand and enjoy a night off! If you need help with making arrangements for child care, please let us know and we will do our best to assist.
Okay, but what are you wearing?
Roxanne will be wearing white and Nic looking slick in his suit. We would love for you to look and feel your best alongside us! We are kindly requesting our guests dress in semi-formal/cocktail attire. Please no jeans. Below are some examples should you need inspiration:
The ceremony and reception will be completely outdoors and across a variety of terrain, including grass so be mindful of the weather and it is encouraged to wear comfortable shoes. If you are choosing to wear heels, we recommend they be low and have a blockier as to not sink into the grass as you are enjoying the evening. A rolled ankle is going to keep you from busting a move on the dance floor, which is where you’ll find the newlyweds all night.
I’m coming in from [blank], what’s the weather like in Texas?
With the wedding in November in Texas, your guess for what the weather will be is as good as mine. It could be a warm 75+ degree night, or a cozier 45 degree night. As we get closer to the date, please keep an eye on the weather to be as prepared as possible, especially since the ceremony and reception will both take place outdoors. Nic and Roxanne will also be watching the weather and will be sure to prepare the party with everything to keep y’all the most comfortable.
Where should I stay?
Please reference the Travel+Accommodations page for our suggestions, but feel free to make your own plans as well. We do recommend staying in Fort Worth to minimize the amount of travel.
But wait, don’t you live in Dallas? Isn’t that basically Fort Worth?
Dallas and Fort Worth are very different cities, despite the airport having both in the name! Dallas and Fort Worth are 35 miles apart and traffic is unpredictable between the two. We promise Fort Worth is just as cool as Dallas, even though we don’t live there. If you want recommendations for what to do, be sure to check out the Things-to-Do page!
What happens if I can’t make it?
While we would love to celebrate with everyone we invite, we understand it can be tough to travel across the country or that other plans may be on your calendar. If you know ahead of the formal RSVP window you are unable to make it, please let Nic and/or Roxanne know. We will be sure to share many photos and visit with you the next time we are in your neck of the woods!
What if I still have questions?
If we missed a question, shoot us a text or send us an email and we will be happy to answer. If your question is good enough, we may even add it to this FAQ page!
